Volounteer programme

AMURT (International) is a hands-on organisation with hundreds of volunteers all over the world engaged in development co-operation and disaster relief. Our Volunteer Programme is a very important means in order to achieve our mission and to win our daily challenges.

You can support us by investing your time and your skills in one of our thirteen projects allocated in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

 

Applicants’ qualifications:

According to your qualifications you can alleviate suffering and provide assistance to the poorest of the poor. People from all backgrounds and all professions are invited to serve the poor, i.e.

  • Medical professions: doctors, nurses, midwives, etc.
  • Construction work: architects, masons, carpenters, etc.
  • Agriculture: agricultural engineers, etc.
  • Education: teachers, language trainers, etc.
  • Children and Youth: social workers, etc.
  • Administration, management and support: University students

Applicants’ additional requirements:

  • Working knowledge of English or French
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Computer literacy

The following criteria usually holds:

  • Volunteers should stay at least three to four months in the field
  • Volunteers will be responsible to cover all travel expenses and medical insurance costs
  • AMURT will provide for accommodation and board
