Project Summary

In collaboration with Oxfam and Foundation “Life for All” Switzerland and Germany, AMURT fought effectively against the famine in the region Deder Woreda. Over 60,000 people have benefited from food aid.

Poverty, natural disasters, poor governance and a debilitating series of violent conflicts caused by these large food shortages.

About 70 million people in the Horn of Africa suffer from chronic malnutrition. 13 million Africans suffer directly under the food shortages and hunger.
